What is a great 5v5 lineup if we have the invoker?

Invoker = flexible hero in build (both skill and item) if anything it should be the other way round. Invoker should change his build according to his team not have a team built around him.

He can turtle, he can gank, he can carry, he's got the AoE and disables for team battles. Finding a lineup he CAN'T fit into is the hard part.

Yeah this is hard to answer, because he is a jack of all trades... he well fits into anything. If anything he tends to work better in a ganking line-up that has some AoE, allowing him to maximise his damage output and maybe do some DPS.

    Something with Dark Seer.
Saw a replay recently where a team went Seer, Nevermore, Voker, Silk and Jak. It worked pretty well, what with having 2 solos almost all the time during laning. Teamfights were pretty.
It was fun to watch too. =D

    Dark Seer, yes.
Jungle the dark Seer, and solo the invoker at bottom.
Ion Shell + Cold Snap = win, seriously
Vaccum sets up Meteor + Deafening Blast Nicely, Surge helps invoker with his piss poor movement speed position better.

If you're going for an Invoker lineup, i'd say just throw 2 semi carries in, put in a wardbitch like CM / VS / Lion, and go gank + push, and end the game by 40 mins if possible.

He benefits hugely from maiden if he goes exort/sunstrike build.

    Supporters:

Maiden for her aura and taking the glass cannon focus from him.
Lich for giving him some easy laning. Slows > Stun in general to launch a few more harrassing hits.
Omni Saves him up a BKB And heal + Slow Aura and imba ult ofc.

Dark Seer: Getting the maximum out of your spells ^^ and he has a shitload of them xD

    Gankers:
Beastmaster Aura + Map Control is good all around and he's quity beefy
Lion For good mana control EMP + Disables does tend to dominate a lane quite well.
Tinker To redirect the action and having your Invoker a little more low profile.

    Carries:
SF He's just to solid to not be ganked. Well you can think up some more ;)

    Counters:
    Doom
    Stryg
    Lion
    Lina
