Forgive me for it's gonna be a bit nevermore-ish.

Legend has it that these mythical serpents are famous for their crazy survivability that lies in the head regeneration whenever one is cut off. It is said that these things grows double the amount of heads whenever one is cut off, making it unbearably strong and difficult to destroy. Whatever the legend says about it, hydras are cool anyways. And if it doesn't bother anyone, it's another poison themed one.

A result of some nasty genetic mutation, involving highly volatile acidic substances, along with a badly mutated cell, thus the chimera Hydra was born. A creature that plays with various types of poison, with an endless supply of deadly acids in its belly. The chimera also has the unexplainable ability to spawn underlings upon death, making it formidable alive or not

Hey there, i like the aspect of a Hydra but the problem is a chimera is like this:

so the name doesn't fit in.

as for skill one, how much health and mana are drained? AM does like 28/40/52/64 per hit, so for mana it would need to be that but over the period so 4/8/12/16 per second but maybe less due to how annoying it could be due to it being ranged. interesting though!

as for skill 2, it does seem like nevermore but a bit different! I wouldnt mind it in the game!

for skill 3 and the ulti, i think they're too situational. yes, skill 3 mixes with the ulti, but it has too much fo a cooldown to synergise with it which could cause problems.

Meh about the names, I just think Chimera's rather cool.

Anyways, regarding the first skill, it doesn't damage overtime but builds up power meaning it can deal 80 extra damage and drain 80 mana if it delays an attack every 9 seconds (+1 second to begin channeling).

As for the ultimate, the cooldown needs to be long. Nobody would like an instant hero deny.

I don't usually do this, but BUMP!

    Time for some critics:

The first skill name is horrible. Clairvoyance has NOTHING to do with toxins. Furthermore correct from Toxic to Toxin, else the whole name becomes nonsensical.

The second skill is really cool and good, with a great name.

The third skill needs a rename a.s.a.p. Re-spawn sounds like the most cliche and unfitting name in history. Furthermore, rename the Lesser Hydrae Corrosive Armor to Corrosive Hide. EDIT: Since Hydrae don't wear armor.

And finally, the ultimate, which is too weak on all standarts. The damage is too low, the cooldown is absolutely WAY too big and the mana cost on rank 1 is deadly.

Overall, Hydra needs a buff and a lot of renames, but it's good and quite original.

Chimera is already a unit in Wc3 so it wouldn't make sense in the story to have a Hydra named Chimera.

I know clairvoyance has nothing to do with toxins and all, but being similar to the word mental, which somehow has a thing to do with mana, that's why I put it there. It's more or less some sort of mental toxin because it drains mana as well.

Like I said for the ultimate, cooldown may be too high, but you wouldn't want abusive denials. The damage might be tweaked, but remember, it's damage per 0.01 second means the actual value is multiplied by 10.

As for the 3rd skill, I had an extremely hard time naming this, I admit it's pretty lame though. Thanks for suggestions.

-EDIT- Done some tweaks and buffed the ultimate.

Nice ulti, 2100 pure damage on 400 AoE.

Overall concept of ultimate and third ability deserved a strong T-UP from me :) Second ability seems interesting, do they share cooldown? I really like it lolx.

  10. deathkidkun

    deathkidkun Well-Known Member

    No they don't share cooldown.
2100 pure damage may seem a lot in a 400 AOE, but the full damage is taken only in 10 seconds. (Although it kinda seems OP now, I'd better change the AOE)

Op hydra and I don't get first skill usefullness. 10 seconds chanelling for 80 damage? Nonono.
2nd skill is better than first.
3rd skill about the hydras they plain OP with all that toxic poison stuff but I guess ultimate if very imba anyway.

No, actually that would be 2100 pure damage in 1 second. If you look closely you did wrote 21 damage every 0.1 second

I like the original spell ideas but a few things concern me.
-the first spell would synergise well with a playstyle that only requierd attacking rarely, this is not shown.
-a spell literally requires you to die for it to be of any use.
-the damage that the ulti deals is insane. No need for it to be pure.
